BACKGROUND
SCMHA is starting a Tyke Initiation Program in 2010. We hope it will form the nucleus of our Tyke/Novice Rep

It is a once per week skills development program, at an advanced level and tempo (for age).

· players who can handle a fairly intense program (for age)
· players who have at least basic skating skills
NOT DESIGNED FOR
· players who have only a casual interest in hockey
· beginning skaters
· players who are not mentally, or emotionally ready to follow instructions, and not able to handle an intensive
program (for age)

F.A.Q.’S
Q. Is the Tyke Initiation Program “Rep” Hockey?
A. No. Rep hockey does not start until Tyke (age 7). Our program is a skills development program, in preparation
"Rep" hockey in the next year or so. You are not registering with SCMHA, it is a supplemental hockey school.
Q. Are there ‘tryouts’?
A. Not per se. Player must have at least basic skating skills, as this is not a ‘learn-to-skate’ program.
Child must also be mentally and emotionally mature enough to handle an intense program (for age)
