Faris the Goalie
The Leafs have had a full week. Last Thursday, both teams ran into a goalie shortage and had us doing a little bit of scrambling but Faris stepped-up and put the pads on for the team!
Unfortunately in our game we came in second. For no penalties and a good effort, Ben Alexander got the player of the game. Way to go Ben! After the game, most of the players and parents went to Kelsey's for a team get-together. The players enjoyed themselves and the highlight was the toques given to the players with the Leaf logo and the player's number embroidered on the back. I believe everyone should have received a budget update from our manager Joe Xamin. If there is any questions about it, please let me know. I do not believe I have yet extolled the virtues adequately of Joe Xamin (Manager), John Principato (Trainer) and Wally Shewayhat (Coach). These gentlemen have worked to make things run as smoothly as they have. Thank you! Our practice on Saturday was a little shy [player-wise] of what I was hoping for. The Leafs have a game this Thursday @ 6 pm at Valley Park against the Canucks (green).Hoping to see everyone there. Cheers,Coach Don
