Ace Bailey Tournament - Gold Medal
The Stoney Creek Minor Atom AE team participated in the 33rd Ace Bailey Tournament this past weekend in Stoney Creek. The team has been working very hard over the early parts of the season and all the hard work paid off. The boys played a incredible semi final game winning 8 to 1 in order to advance the the tournament finals. The final had many up's and down's, with the team finding themselves in a hole being behind 4 to 2 late in the third period.
But their was no quit in this team as they continued to work hard tieing up the game with only 68 seconds left in the third period. Overtime here we come! Two one minute shifts of 3v3 hockey still had the game in a tie. In a 1v1 battle, your Stoney Creek Warriors scored with 18.9 seconds remaining - GOLD MEDAL STONEY CREEK WARRIORS!
