A great way to start the season!
The Bantam AE Red team wins the Hespeler Early Bird tournament in convincing fashion!
The Bantam AE Red team went into the Hespeler Early Bird tournament on Sept.13.
It was the first time that the team was able to play together in a game and it was a shaky start. The first game against Woolwich was a 4-3 loss and the second game was an undisciplined 0-0 tie against New Hamburg.
But the talent was there on the ice and the leadership was there in the dressing room. The team talked through it, made a plan, and vowed to back each other up and work together.
The second game against Woolwich was a 6-1 win and the second game against New Hamburg was a 4-1 win. That sent us to the Championship against Woolwich.
A budding rivalry was forming with Woolwich but we game out strong and dominated from the first drop of the puck. The Warriors took home the championship with a convincing 7-1 win.
