Bruins start slow but finish strong
This past weekend the Atom Select Bruins  played in the Dofasco Select Tournament

​In game 1 the team faced he Kitchener Rangers and lost 7-1 Aiden Bevandic scored the only goal for the Bruins with an assist going to Robert Watkins. Andrew Comrie was in net and faced 30 shots.In game 2 we played the Burlington Bulldogs.They lost the second game 4-0 Lucas Alampi was strong in net. On Saturday morning they played the team from Armstrong Pa. and looking for a better performance lost a close one 4-3. Goals were scored by Robert Watkins with 2 and Thomas Walton. Noah Guimond picked up an assist. Andrew Comrie in net again was solid and kept it close the whole game. In the fourth game  and probably the best game of the weekend the bruins battled season rival Ham.Mtn Blues. The Blues beat the team badly twice this season. On this day the boys were not going to lose a third time. The boys fought hard and stuck to the game plan. Liam Tasker opened the scoring with assists to Walton and Berlingueri.The blues tied it at one when Robert Watkins scored unassisted and had a lead into the third. The Blues tied it up at 2 with 3 mins remaining. Determined to not let this one slip away and heading to a 2-man advantage. The bruins scored 2 goals 1 minute apart to take the victory 4-2. Scoring in the final 1 min was Robert Watkins with his second with assists to Tasker and Guimond, and Thomas Walton from Romano and Orzel. Lucas Alampi was strong in net for the win. The coaching staff congratulates the team on a remarkable win.
