Tyke, 2013-2014, Select (HOME OF THE STONEY CREEK WARRIORS AA HOCKEY)

Tyke Select Bruins successfully Won their 3rd straight Select tournament this season during the March Break Festival tournament up in - Orillia. The Bruins won: 6-1, 4-3, 3-2, and 2-1 in the final against Elmvale Selects. The team demonstrated their skills, teamwork & determination to win against some of the toughest teams that they have played all season.

It was Hockey Night in Simcoe as the Stoney Creek Bruins traveled down the hwy, to play Simcoe Saturday night.  After last Monday's win against Simcoe, Stoney Creek was playing to defend the series.  Shortly into the 1st period, Simcoe took and early lead, but it was soon defused by Derek Posthumus' rocket of a shot to tie up the game.

The Tyke Bruins skated to a 4-3 win in the Tyke Final against Thornhill Rebels. The game was a hard played game by both teams and went down to the final few minutes before the Bruins took the final lead to win the game. Outstanding play by every player as they made great passes, hard shots, and great saves. The Tyke Bruins are now 2 for 2 in tournaments and head to Orillia during the March break to compete for their 3rd tournament championship! Great job to all the players, coaches on the win! The Tyke Selects won the BCHL Friendship Tournament in Brantford on January 26th. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament and beat the Kitchener Capitals 6-3 to win the Championship.  Great work boys!

The Tyke Select Bruins will be fundraising again this month.   Similar to the GREY CUP POOL, we will run a SUPER BOWL POOL.  Each square will be $10 each. Please see Taylor Rice or Coach Cote at Monday's game to buy your squares.  We will be selling 100 boxes and proceeds will be used to pay for 1 extra tournament in April in Pickering.
