MINOR PEEWEE AE, 2016-2017, Rep (HOME OF THE STONEY CREEK WARRIORS AA HOCKEY)

In the second game of the season, our Minor Peewee AE team went up to Orangeville and lost 4-0.   Tonight, in our second last game of the season, we went back up to Orangeville and won 2-0! And we didn't just win...we BEAT them.   We beat them to pucks. We beat them in puck battles. We made lights-out saves. And Orangeville wasn't sure what to do with us. Congratulations boys! This team has come a long way this season and everyone has improved so much. We are proud of you!

We had a solid showing at the Brantford Tournament this week. Congratulations boys! We skated with Kitchener, one of the best teams in Ontario, and kept it close. We continued our season-long battle with Milton Blue, and are going to get our win against them soon. And we played a dominant game against Stratford that was a tough loss in the final minutes of the third. As usual, you boys were a ton of fun!

After the skills competition the team received their Christmas gifts and team photos. (Even the coaches got to open things!) You boys deserve it all...you have worked so hard and continue to get better every week. Thanks to the coaching staff for working so well together and giving these kids the help they have needed. And special thanks to all of the parents for being so great throughout the year.  Your positivity with your kids rubs off on them and we can see it in practice and games, we can see it in the dressing room, and we can see it on the smiles they have every time they play ...

Tonight was the Minor Peewee AE Warriors Christmas Skills Competition. And it was awesome!! The White team and Black team competed in five events, Skating Speed Passing Accuracy Passing Distance Shooting Accuracy Shootout Great job to all of you!!

The Minor Peewee AE Warriors participated in the Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade this year.  It was a great event with lots of participation from the organization.  And there were a lot of families waving from the streets!! The kids loved trying to get people of all ages to 'Dap' for them. Thanks for representing the Warriors boys!

Congratulations team! Everyone skated hard right to the end of the game, the puck was passed well, and we played both our offensive and defensive positioning very well. All of the hard work at practice paid off in your first win of the season!! This is a team of kids that have never played together and most are stepping up to a new level of hockey. Tonight we learned: - that we belong in this league. - that our hard work will pay off. - that this team will be a force to be reckoned with! Coaches and parents are proud of you! This has been a great week of development for the Minor Peewee AE team. Special thanks to Andrew Whalen for the second of ten sessions that include 1 hour on the ice and 1/2 dryland training. The kids love the drills and put out a great effort. Special thanks also to Darryl Sinclair for the first of ten sessions of skills development. Again the kids had fun and they dug deep to keep up with the Major Peewee AA team! We have a team that is willing to learn, and a team that is going to keep getting better!
