Exhibition Game At First Niagera Center
On Feb. 3rd the Minor Atom AE Warriors had the privilege to be invite to play an exhibition game against the Cazenovia Chiefs at the First Niagara Center. Home of the Buffalo Sabers.
The team was allowed to dress in the same dressing room the Buffalo Bandits use, this is the professional Lacrosse team in Buffalo. The room was filled with excitement and everyone was dressed in record time. Once we were called to go on the ice. The team walked the same path that the Sabers do. They walked down a hallway that had pictures of all of Buffalo's sports start. At the end of the hallway there were to large doors, on the other side was the entrance on to the ice. It was really incredible as the players walked through the doors, all of the fans cheering them on as they entered on to the ice. The team played a great game and came out with the win.
After the game was over the day was just beginning. That evening the team watched the Sabers take on the Edmonton oilers. We were joined at the game by the Minor Bantam AE Warriors. What a long exciting day for the players and I believe most of them made it to the end.
Thanks to all of the Warrior families and friends for making this a special day for these young players. I'm sure that they will never forget this experience.
