Tournament of Champions
What a weekend for the Tournament of Champions! As the home team for this annual tournament, the PeeWee Warriors did not disappoint. A tournament filled with exciting goals and lots of overtime play.
The first game against the Oakville Rangers was tied 3-3 at the end of the game. The game went into overtime with a 3vs3, 3vs3 and 1vs1. Although losing in overtime, the boys could be proud of their effort and teamwork.
The team went on to face Tecumseh Eagles and once again faced another overtime moment. This time the Warriors prevailed and secured a 3-2 win.
Clarence Mustangs from Buffalo NY were the next opponents and the Warriors won took that game with a confident 4-1 win. Fans breathed a sigh of relief to not have overtime play once again.
That relief would be short lived as the boys faced Toronto Avalanche. This close game resulted in overtime once again. The arena went crazy as the team forged ahead with a goal in 1vs1 play. The boys were headed to the Championship!!
The Warriors faced the Oakville Rangers in the final game. The arena was packed to support the local team. Although the Rangers took the lead and won the game, the PeeWee Warriors represented SCMH in true fashion. The boys worked hard, won and lost as a team and skated their hearts out. The finalist ring they all received will serve as a memory of their teamwork for years to come. Congratulations PeeWee Warriors, everyone is very proud of you. Bring on Pittsburg! #GoWarriors
