November 14th vs. Garden City Falcons (Away)
Well, after the weekend’s Tournament of Champions it was back to regular season play tonight.

After a 2 day rest, the team came out strong, handling the puck well, hitting and passing well.  Daniel F. (44) was showing good effort at both ends.  Tommy R. (33) was on his game and made several key saves.  All the boys were putting in a good effort and getting to the net and chasing pucks.  Riley A. (29) was strong in the face-off circle, keeping the Falcons off the puck.  Defense was strong, Justin T. (8) fighting off 2 Falcons and Matthew C. (19) getting the puck to the net. The second started well with good play all around.  Despite a penalty, the boys showed excellent effort in killing off the Falcon’s power play, including Thomas B. (75) getting the puck into the Falcon’s end.  Penalties continued to hurt us but, again, the penalty kill was effective.  Ryan W. (10) and Zach P. (22) both moved the puck well.  The energy seemed to fall off in the second but Tommy R. (33) was making key saves. The Falcons did squeak one in, with 2:54 left, taking a 1-0 lead. In the third, we had our backs against the wall but the boys continued to try and move the puck.  The Falcons were bringing a lot of pressure and were able to make it 2-0 with just over 12 minutes left in the third.  The defense were doing their best to clear the puck with help from the offense and Gianluca M. (77) made several good clears.  Despite a valiant effort from Tommy R. (33) the Falcons scored again, finishing with a 3-0 win.  Hopefully, tomorrow, we show up for the whole game and battle hard against Guelph.
