Exciting Comeback
Well .... just when one thought the games could not possibly be more exciting,the Leaf players prove that they can up the ante even more!!
At the start of last Thursdays game and seeing the same two officials we had duringa previous game earlier this year, I did not have a good feeling. But that feeling soonfaded as the players were up and down and played a heck of a game. Watching the clock and knowing how the rink guy likes to ring the buzzer right at 7:00, we got a break as the other team had a penalty and ended up scoring the winning goal literallyat the buzzer!!! Mathew Benson was the player of the game and really helped the teamout on defence. Way to go Matthew! Excitement abounded again during Saturdays game. It didn't have the same game-ending drama, but the team did come from behind to tie the game late in the third period! Thetie definitely felt more like a win for the Leafs and the players were definitely excited at being able to come from behind again. I also heard one parent say that it would be nice if the teamcould once decide to get ahead by a few goals and stay there!! Too funny knowing how the team has played so far this year. The Leafs have a practice this Thursday @ 5 pm at Valley Park and a game @ 3 pm on Saturday.
