The Atom Select Bruins champions in the Jordan Select Tournament‏
The Bruins were in the Dick Cattrell Select Tournament over the March.


Over the march break the Bruins travelled to Jordan to compete in the Dick Cattrell Select tournament.The boys played like a team, passing, shooting and working hard every game finishing the tourney with a record of 3-1-1.Team work was the teams strength in the tournament.In game 1 they played the Rosedale Devils and won a close game 6-4. Point getters were Robert Watkins with a hat trick,Jacob Shuker, Aiden Bevandic and Owen Staley with 3 pts. Liam Tasker with 2 goals.In their second game they played a strong Kiwanis team. The boys battled back in the the third period down by one. To finish the nail biter with a 2-2 tie.In their third game ,the bruins played a determined Jordan Lions who won the game 3-2. Finishing the round robin in 3rd place. Which set up a semifinal game against rival Rosedale Devils. The Bruins scored first and never looked back winning easily 6-1.Point getters in this game were Robert Watkins with the hat trick, Thomas Walton with three points, Liam Tasker, Owen Staley with 2 points. Aiden Bevandic, Jamie Benson each got a goal. This set up a Championship rematch with Kiwanis Stars.Playing with 2 hours between games, everyone was exhausted. But the boys played their hearts out. Leading 3-2 going into the 3rd period and 15 mins to play found some energy winning the Championship game 5-3. Liam Tasker scored a hat trick, Robert Watkins scored 2 goals, and assists went to Thomas Walton with 3, Noah Guimond with 2, Owen Staley, Aiden Bevandic, Jacob Shuker and Francesco Stavrianos each with 1.Andrew Comrie played solid net in all 5 games.
