PeeWee AA Warriors Win Pittsburgh!!
The PeeWee Warriors had a dominating weekend winning the Annual Thanksgiving Classic in Pittsburgh PA.
The Thanksgiving Classic tournament started with a Friday game against Butler. The boys came out strong with a 5-0 win and managed to have no penalties called against them. The following day the Warriors faced the home team the Pittburg Vipers. This was a physical game with lots of penalties however the Warriors came out on top with a 4-2 win. That afternoon, the boys had their adrenaline pumping because they defeated Carolina 10-0. Game 4 was an early one at 7am and the boys were up in the hotel lobby having breakfast by 5:30am and defeated Twin Bridges by a score of 6-2. This win guaranteed a spot in the Championship. The Championship game was against Butler and the boys won by a score of 6-0.
What a weekend of hockey!! Goals were scored by a wide range of players on the team and our goalies only had 4 goals against them all weekend in 5 games. Forwards were skating hard and scoring goals and the defence protected their end and held the blueline. The boys truly represented Stoney Creek with their strong play, sportsmanlike conduct and team work approach both on and off the ice. Thanks to the players, coaching staff and families who made it a weekend to remember. Go Warriors!!
